This is my first time REALLY seeing FULLY BLOSSOMED sakura!
三月初的時候我們到了日本河津，趕及參與在二月五日至三月十日舉行的櫻花節。我們三月四日到達，在河津溫泉良旅館逗留一個晚上。
We went during the early March to meet the Sakura Festival in Kawazu.
Sakura festival runs from February 5 - March 10 for 2013.
We arrived on March 4 and stayed a night in Kawazu Onsen (Hot spring) hotel.
由於今年的櫻花遲了盛開，因此櫻花節延至三月十七日！因此追櫻花最好還是要緊貼官網的即時資訊啊！
This year (2013) due to the late blossoming, it has been extended until March 17! So always stay tuned to the official website for immediate sakura information.

早上8：45到達新宿後先到 Lumine 2 一樓的 Dean & Deluca 來個早餐！這裡的 chai tea latte 真的很滑很好喝！
我們想找一點能飽肚的吃，所以在新宿車站內的便利店買了雞肉飯團。你看，好大個飯團啊！

Arrived Shinjuku station at 8:45am and had breakfast at Dean & Deluca inside Lumine 2 (1/F)
The chai tea latte is very smooth and smells really good!
Since we wanted something more filling, I bought a chicken onigiri (rice ball) inside a convenience store inside Shinjuku station (huge!)
乘坐 Ordoriko Super View 從新宿到河津需要兩個半小時的車程。Ordoriko Super View 只捷供預約坐，緊記出發前一天到任何車站預約坐位。我們的是在Narita 火車站買乘車證時順道預約的。
We took Ordoriko Super View train from Shinjuku to Kawazu, the trip took 2.5 hours.
Ordoriko Super View are reserved seats only, remember to reserve your seats in any train station a day ago. (I reserved mine in Narita Train Station while buying the pass)
出發小貼士：河津至東京的三日乘車證為 8,000 yen，可在機場 Narita JR 車站購買，如購買時出示護照可獲折扣，並可即時用此乘車證乘搭 Narita Express （單一購買為 3,110 yen）從機場到東京的市中心地區如新宿、涉谷、池袋等。當然，如果你的河津行程不是在東京之旅的首兩天出發就不能這樣利用這張乘車證了。官網：JR Kanto Area Pass
Tips: 8,000 yen for 3-day pass train tickets to Kawazu from Tokyo

Since we are just staying at Kawazu for one night (second night of our trip), we used the pass immediately to take Narita Express (which usually costs 3,110 yen) to Tokyo city center Shinjuku

終於來到河津了！

這晚的留宿價錢為二人 19,000 yen，包當日晚餐及翌日早餐，當然包括溫泉浸浴啦！

辦理入住酒店完畢後（酒店入住時間為當天下午三時），我們便到河津車站附近乘巴士前往河津七瀑布（單程車費約 1,000 yen，車程至尾站約為 45 分鐘）
Right after we checked in the hotel (official check-in time is 3pm), we took a bus near Kawazu train station to Kawazu Seven Fall (around 1,000 yen per person one-way, bus trip took around 45 minutes to the last station)
下車後先到巴士站附近的七滝茶屋午餐。
Right after we got off the bus, we went to have a light lunch near the bus station at 七滝茶屋.
這是我的豚肉飯定食，另外也點了一份草莓甜品餐大家分著吃。甜品餐有草莓汁、煉奶大顆草莓及草莓雲呢拿雪糕。
I order the pork rice bowl set lunch and we shared the yummy strawberry dessert set (with strawberry juice, huge strawberry with condensed milk and strawberry shaved ice with vanilla icecream)
餐後我們便到了河津七瀑布之一。這有故事《伊豆的舞孃》（作者：川端康成）一位高中生，到伊豆去旅行，在當地遇上一團巡迴舞孃，被當中嬌小玲瓏的舞孃薰吸引，假期結束了，高中生要離開舞孃，帶出一段與歌舞女郎刻骨銘心的愛情經歷。（資料源自維基百科）
After having lunch, we walked up to see one of the seven falls. There is the story of the "The Dancing Girl of Izu" (written by Yasunari Kawabata) between a young male student who is touring the Izu Peninsula and a family of traveling dancers he meets there, including their youngest girl on the onset of puberty. The student finds the naïve girl attractive even though he eventually has to part with the family after spending memorable time together. (information from Wikipedia)
On our way back to the bus station, we bought a palm-size mandarin (50 yen each), sweet and juicy!
我們決定離河津車站提前數站下車，避開賞花人潮，我們隨著人群漫步欣賞兩岸的河津櫻，源路走回我們的酒店享用晚餐（共步行了約三公里）
We got off the bus a few stops before Kawazu bus station where there are less people cramming around the sakura. Then we just followed the crowd and walked along the pathway back to our hotel for dinner (total walking distance around 3km)
好！河津櫻時間到！

在賞櫻的同時，我們有一個免費足湯享用。泉水很燙，但日本人卻能輕鬆地把雙腳放進去泡！我們卻用了二十分鐘時間才能把雙腿放進熱湯裡泡！不過泡過這個足湯後真的感到放鬆很多了，感覺良好！
We had a free foot bath (足湯) on our way with a view of sakura. The water is super hot (like boiling), but the Japanese just put their feet and legs into the water with ease. WE took at least 20 minutes to put our feet into the boiling water! But it felt really good and relaxing after all.
路上我們在咖啡屋來了咖啡和茶點。
On our way, we had snacks and coffee in a cafe.
一路上我們還有經過很多食店：炒麵，金目鯛壽司（金目鯛在河津一帶是很出名的魚類）及燒玉米。
There are also a lot of food stalls along the way: fried noodles, 金目鯛 alfonsino sushi (this kind of fish is well-known in Kawazu) and also barbecue corn.
準備了回到酒店前要觀看日落！
Managed to view the sunset before we arrived the hotel.
六時回到酒開始我們的晚餐：
冰鎮梅酒, 刺身拼盤, 蟹肉味噌湯, 吉列大蝦, 汁燒金目鯛
We arrived hotel at 6pm to catch our dinner
Plum wine on rocks, sashimi platter, crab miso soup, shrimp tonkichi and 汁燒金目鯛
晚餐後, 我們就到酒店附近看夜櫻。很好的散步但由於晚上太黑，很難拍照。我們還吃了日本傳統的甜點小吃：櫻團子 (櫻花味圓子配特制醬油)
After dinner, we decided to go for a walk nearby to view the night sakura. It's a nice short walk but it's hard to take photos as it's really dark at night. We had a night snack called 櫻團子 (sakura flavored dessert with special soya sauce)
散步後，當然就是享受酒店房間的溫泉時間了。這裡有兩種溫泉，室內及露天池各一。住客更可預訂私人泡湯時段。
After dinner, we had a nice hot spring time in the hotel room. There are two hot springs, one indoor and one outdoor. You can sign up for private hot spring sessions if you are a hotel guest.
泡湯後的是我們的電視時段，有我們最愛最愛的SMAP x SMAP！（太感謝當天是星期一！）還有在鄰近超級市場買回來的牛奶和草莓。
After hot spring, we had our television session in our room with our favorite SMAP x SMAP tv show. (Thank god it's monday!) We had milk and strawberries that we bought from a nearby supermarket.
翌日早上，我們在酒店享用日式早餐：
白飯，味噌湯，淹青瓜小白菜，溫泉蛋，煎魚和納豆
The next morning, we had breakfast in the hotel in a japanese style with rice, miso soup, prickled cucumbers and cabbage, onsen egg, fish and fermented soybeans
我決定在早上八時半在櫻花下跑步，以避開賞櫻的人群。天氣實在太好了，春風拂面的感覺十分舒服。
I have decided to have a little jog along the sakura path at 8:30am before too many people are out there to view the sakura. The weather is nice and it's really comfortable with a spring breeze.
繼續還有另一次賞櫻行，我買了一枝 ito 綠茶和櫻花鯛魚燒。
After that, we had another little walk along the sakura path. I bought a bottle of Ito green tea and a sakura japanese cake with red bean.
我們離開河津前，買了多一點的草莓，而且我在超級市場看了日本的大蔥！
Before we left, we bought more strawberries and I happened to see those huge spring onions in the supermarket.
車站旁邊的櫻花已經美麗地盛開了！不久將來，我會再來河津看看你們的 :)
The sakura blossomed beautifully near the station and I shall return one day to see them again in the near future :)
